GLI HUGE NEWS: So honoured and proud to be shortlisted with 432 Nomads for the Global Arts Prize Legacy Award for #Skates4Mates. Your vote can help us win $30,000 for the program! Presented by the Global Leaders Institute and the Buck Family Foundation in international recognition of innovation in the world of culture. The Global Arts Prize celebrates cultural organizations spearheading an innovative approach to the relevance of arts in our time. Each year, $60,000 USD is awarded between two initiatives — regardless of size, location, or focus area — for their contributions to the future of the cultural sector. If you haven’t heard me bang on about it yet - Skates4Mates shares the joy of rollerskating with refugees and people seeking sanctuary in the UK. Rollerskating is a creative and physical form that improves mental and physical well-being, connects people across communities and is quite simply the most joyous thing. The current conversation around immigration is so negative and can feel hopeless, but you can help us by voting by Tuesday 22 September!! Please head to the link in bio or over to GLI’s voting page HERE: /p/DOeC2BoCdI0/?igsh=d3c1ZXlnYmMzNDV0 To vote simply put @432Nomads in the comments. We are so honoured to be part of this amazing shortlist. @432nomads @jenironsmoves #Skates4Mates #RollerSkating #ImmigrationUK #RefugeesWelcome

Another inspiring day at The Portsmouth Academy 🎤✍🏾 Today we delivered two poetry and songwriting sessions, hearing powerful ideas, stories and creativity from the students. There’s clearly a lot of talent coming out of TPA, and it was amazing to see so many young voices stepping up and expressing themselves through music and poetry. This project will give students the opportunity to share their art as part of Portsmouth’s 100th year celebrations, showcasing the creativity of the city’s young people. We’re excited to continue building with them over the next two weeks during our Tuesday after-school sessions and see how their work develops. The future voices of Portsmouth are already making themselves heard. #Portsmouth100 #Songwriting #Poetry #432Nomads #PortsmouthAcademy

Another journey begins 🎤✍🏾 Today we kicked off a new 6-week songwriting & poetry project with Year 5 students in Havant, helping young creatives turn their ideas, stories and emotions into music. Over the coming weeks they’ll be learning how to write lyrics, shape their own songs, and record something they can be proud of. This is now the 4th school we’ve worked with, and every time we see the same thing, when young people realise their voice matters, something powerful happens. Big love to the school for having myself & 432 Nomads involved. Let’s create something special. 🌊 #432Nomads #CreativeEducation #Songwriting #YouthVoice #Havant MusicInSchools CoastMade

Just been to A Sea of Words for Portsmouth and it’s honestly brilliant - one of the best cultural events happening in Portsmouth right now. It’s an immersive exhibition that celebrates our city’s connection to the sea through art, sound, and storytelling from local voices. You walk through powerful words, light, and music that capture what Portsmouth means to the people who live here. The best part? It’s completely FREE to book for Portsmouth residents (PO1–PO6). It’s creative, thoughtful, and really well put together — a proper reminder of how much talent and heart this city has. Don’t miss it, it’s only on until 26 October.
