@joltradio and Florida Supercon you beautiful nerd circus; We did the thing!! 🤯 Saturday and Sunday were a whirlwind of spacey madness. I dropped the Dune soundbath and straight-up launched people into the cosmos. Watched full-grown adults melt into beanbags like butter on Arrakis. Not a toe tapped. Just astral projection and heavy eyelids. 🪐😴
It was 2 days of controlled chaos and questionable reality settings. Saturday kicked off with the Dune soundbath, aka me in a cyber cloak vocoding Sardaukaur chants while people melted into beanbags like spice-addled Mentats. Pretty sure someone time-traveled. Definitely saw a few astral projections. At least one sleeper awakened. 🐛🪐
Sunday was straight-up synth dojo. I handed people knobs and they actually turned them. Legends every one of them. Had one kid make a beat so filthy the Bene Gesserit probably felt it. Someone else dropped a bassline that summoned a Jawa. ("UTINI!") then the Imperial Po-Po from the @official501st came to talk to us about @lamebotmusic dropping criminally sick beats that pulled them out hyperspace.
Also: sat in the captain’s chair, made questionable decisions, avoided Starfleet HR. Met a Sith-Spidey child-warrior. Saw Starfire drop heat on the TR-8 . Caught a full mime crew performing in French (?) WTF!!
Would I do it again? Absolutely. Am I already rebuilding my modular rig? Also yes.

Miami-Dade County Commissioner Roberto J. Gonzalez (District 11) is hosting a taxpayer-funded event called the "Faith & Family Festival" at the Miami-Dade Fair & Expo Center on May 9th.
The flyer features the Sistine Chapel imagery, the phrase "Talk to God," and a Prayer Record Attempt as a headlining activity.
This doesn't look like an interfaith community event. There's no mention of any non-Christian tradition. No mention of Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Wiccan, or any other faith community.
This is a Christian revival event with the Miami-Dade County seal on it.
That's a textbook Establishment Clause problem.

Okay I'm on a bit of a Bill Nelson kick again and I realized that after showcasing the orchestra Future album of his last month, his double album "Chance encounters in the garden of Lights" is no longer available on streaming, you have to buy the physical media.
