“Alligator Alcataz” has violated basic standards of dignity and due process from the start — accountability cannot end here.

Florida wants to censor employees while allowing agency leaders and lawyers to present false testimony in court to defend that censorship. The court’s sanctions order is a timely and significant rebuke of a troubling trend that has become increasingly emblematic of governance in Florida. It marks the second time in less than a year that a court has sanctioned state officials for conduct that undermined the integrity of judicial proceedings or disregarded court orders. We’ll see you in court.

I was put in a virtual court hearing while actively in labor because I refused a C-section. Two years later, Florida’s attacks on reproductive freedom are still impacting REAL people and REAL families. That’s why I’m partnering with the ACLU of Florida for a powerful community gathering on May 14th from 6–8 PM to create space for conversation, healing, advocacy, and connection around reproductive freedom and bodily autonomy. If you believe mothers deserve the right to make informed medical decisions without government interference, I hope you’ll join us. 🗓 May 14, 2026 ⏰ 6 PM – 8 PM 🍽 Light refreshments provided Comment “LINK” and I’ll send you the registration info 💜 #ReproductiveFreedom #Mybodymychoice #Florida #ACLU #maternalhealth

“For the ultimate cure is the love of our people, so stand with me.” Together, we honored Cinco de Mayo’s roots in resistance and courage. We heard powerful messages from local poets, artists, and leaders on the front lines of Miami’s diverse communities. It’s certain — there is power in unity and collective action. We’d like to thank Dominique the Poet, @girlcomesitwithme , for sharing her powerful poem with us. We’d like to thank both our host, Books & Books, @booksandbooks , and our sponsor, 10 Days of Connection @10daysofconnection , for their continuous commitment to serving the people. Stay involved and find more events through our pinned post, which we update every month.

No one should lose their right to speak out simply because those in power disagree with their message.
