As we inch closer and closer to the reopening of Barbara Sutton Hall, we’re excited to share some more progress photos of our beloved spaces transforming 😍
With an opening on track for Term 3, we can’t wait to welcome our community back into this reimagined performance space.
Here’s a snapshot of recent progress:
🔨 Acoustic panelling on Level 1 is now complete 🪑 Auditorium carpet has been laid, ready for fixed seating 🌟 The timber floor has been fully restored 🪟 First windows installed on the new southern façade 🛗 Lift installation is complete, with testing scheduled 🪚 Joinery works are underway, alongside painting and finishing touches

Hangar 83, Essendon Fields.
JMP delivered the electrical, communications and specialist systems installation for this major aviation facility, developed for global leader @textronaviation as a Melbourne service facility home to @cessna and @beechcraft .
Delivered alongside @2construct , the facility incorporates large-scale hangar infrastructure, specialised sheetmetal and wheelshop areas, parts storage and office facilities, purpose-built to support ongoing operations.
A significant aviation project delivered to the highest standard by the JMP team.

Airport Toyota, Essendon Fields. A flagship dealership, now complete ⚡️
Delivered in collaboration with @2construct , this project brought together major infrastructure and final fitout to support a high-performance automotive environment.
Transformer installation, main switchboard and consumer mains, site-wide distribution, DALI lighting, external lighting and EV infrastructure delivered as a fully integrated package.
Workshop power, showroom services and in-ground floor boxes supported by civil works and underground reticulation across the site.

Essendon Fields recently welcomed senior @textronaviation representatives from Wichita, Kansas, for an exclusive first look at their new state-of-the-art aircraft maintenance hangar.
The new hangar doubles Textron Aviation's current footprint in the Fields, expanding service capacity + enhancing support for operators across the Asia–Pacific [APAC] region.
“This development at #EssendonFields is a strong example of how targeted aviation investment delivers national benefits – strengthening industry capability, supporting highly skilled jobs, and improving service standards for operators across the region. This project enhances Australia’s general aviation network, and it’s encouraging to see industry partners and Essendon Fields working together on this significant new piece of aviation infrastructure,” - Jo Briskey, Federal Member for Maribyrnong.
