Oh hey there’s this gig too that I’m organising for @2xaa who is coming over from the UK next week! Pretty great lineup tbh. At @creaturebrunswickeast ! Good people at that bar. *You* should come.
If you somehow hadn’t had enough chiptune after Interrupt, I’m playing at this thing on Saturday, along with a pretty decent lineup. It’s an afternoon show! I don’t know what I’ll be playing! Head over to @obduratefleet to get tickets if you’re keen!
Today is the 10 year anniversary of this silly project of mine. To celebrate, I've put out a new album of previously (mostly) unreleased music. This is mostly from 2017 and documents my first experiments with Nord synths and the Octatrack.
It's long, repetitive, somewhat unrelenting - all the things you'd expect from a 0F.digital album.
Grab it from my Bandcamp (link in bio etc). Thanks for following :)
0F.digital sculpts abstract, minimal electronics with handheld consoles, Nanoloop, portable sequencers and samplers. Influenced by the sounds of Autechre, SND, Pan Sonic and Steve Reich, their live sets prize precision rhythm, tactile textures, and shifting patterns from pocket-sized machines, executed with ruthless focus. Hailing from Naarm/Melbourne, they’ll bring a distinct spin on live electronics this VOLTA.
Catch them at the next edition of VOLTA at The Bird on Thursday, November 6th.
@0f.digital
This has been my life for the past few months. Very happy that it’s finally taking shape and sounds almost like real music, and is becoming something I can actually control relatively easily (though some macros would be nice). Morphing between “patterns” is such a wild concept. Thanks @tim_exile for that idea 🤘#maxmsp #generativemusic #idm
Working on a thing. Parametric generative sequencer with all sequence/synth parameters able to morph smoothly between saved states. Thanks @tim_exile for the inspiration - PTNSHIFT was the final piece in the puzzle to motivate me to make something myself. Got a little while to go before I get to that level lol.
Also dogs.
