These don’t sound like your average dubplate! Thanks to everyone who has supported us with these. SPECIAL GUEST TBA…… After three years of consistent biziness and a wide reaching approach to bass music n sound, Soundboy marks its third anniversary with a lineup that reflects that journey. Alongside the introduction of the new offshoot series titled @theplasticloft , this night brings together a broad mix of artists connected to the extended Soundboy circuit. We’re especially pleased to introduce @sl8rmusic for round2! Returning to the booth, we have hidden head honcho @hanz.riddim , legend @nanny_banton , resident n fav @pablogyal_ , hiphop head @watchdeez , and theplasticloft regular @krs.george , each bringing their own established sound. They’re joined by a range of newer voices including garage heads @0161underground , @hill.luke , and @kieran.leyland , rounding out a lineup that reflects both the core and the next wave of the community. A duo & label dedicated to all things house music Taking inspiration from the likes of labels such as DnH, House Jam records, Strictly, Strobe, Soul City, Nice n Ripe, Dance Mania and Henry Street Music amongst others. “Our sound is simple, stripped back and raw. Focussing on swinging drum patterns, dusty stabs and filtered samples”

Big one this Friday, we’re kicking off the weekend of @easternbloc_ 40th anniversary with some heavy hitters! Honoured to be asked to do this one. It’s been worked on in various different forms over the last couple of weeks but kinda happy with where it is now so time to get it out of the way and onto the next one… Just needs sequencing maybe some drum fills and strings and then it’s ready for mixdown! Back in the studio tomorrow for more 🩵

Just a post to let you all know we’ve released our first 12” EP’s! “The Hardware Dubs” volumes 1 & 2 are out from today @easternbloc for you Manchester heads and @sk1records for the Stockport crew! Each EP is a 4 tracker with Vol 1 being more a housier / disco vibe and Vol 2 more shaped towards a garage sound. 👻 Limited to 24 lathe cut copies each only so snap em up whilst they’re around. They are lathe cut in the North West and then hand stamped, stickered up and packed by ourselves. All home produced in Manchester on Akai Hardware these are also professionally mastered by DDA Mastering @enrico.ddamastering who’s worked his analogue magic on 'em, these don’t sound like your average dubplate and have a proper strong sound to them that cuts right through the frequency range. 🔊 Priced at £14.99 each, your getting 4 tracks and a free sticker 😉 Thanks to everyone that helped us with these and also to SK1 and E bloc for stocking them 🏙️ Support your local record shop. Wow @easternbloc_ never ceases to amaze. Just about processed the madness! Massive love to Ben and all the E Bloc crew each and every time. And big thanks to all friends family and all dancers that came down. Big shout out to our special guest @almo_mcr who played some absolute heaters and got the party off to a proper start ❤️ Couple of videos from the night that were snapped. Including an ace moment of Michael Watford so into you as one of the last tunes. Which had to be done after learning of his passing earlier in the eve. ❤️ Thanks for the music Michael and thank you house music!
