I will never not post about this album on it’s release day. May 18th, 1999. 27 years ago, @rawkusrecords released one of the best compilation/mixtape of all time, Soundbombing II.

Few new (old) records, a flying visit to Chester for the open deck, lost headphones/found headphones, reinvented buildings from the past, mooch about Manchester/MediaCity, a bear.
This might be my top 10 MJ songs, in no order. There’s also no way that this collection of songs doesn’t change but these always come to mind when trying to think of my favourites.
What are some of your top picks?
If you’re not a fan or have something negative to say, I’m not interested and you can moonwalk over to someone else’s page. Thanks.

Not an anniversary post but a reminder of a great 90s soundtrack from a movie that I love. I think I’m alone on that island and I’m fine with that. “Mo’ Money” is an album fully produced by @officialjamandlewis
Just thought I’d document the physical copies of the album and singles that I’ve got my hands on over the years and to coincide with the discussion and ranking of songs in the most recent @halftimechatpodcast
Enjoyed all of your song picks in your top 10s and also the other facts and tidbits I found out while watching. Which is often the case when you get these RnB and New Jack Swing specialists together.
Shout out to @halftimechat@vijay_chandegra@stevie_street_ and @njs4e on this particular episode and also frequent collaborators @jaccimcghee@addaelane and @total.rnb
If you have even a passing interest in RnB/soul/HipHop and connected genres, please find the podcast on YouTube or follow @halftimechatpodcast It’s a knowledgeable panel and community in general and I’ve spent many Sunday evenings watching the livestream.
I’m hoping you discuss the “Above The Rim” soundtrack in the not so distant future. It’s a top tier album from any era.
Finally got to see one of my favourites live in Manchester. @therealrahdigga was celebrating 26 years since the release of her debut album “Dirty Harriet” and performed it all, along with cuts from her other projects and feature appearances.
It was great to meet her after the show and get my album signed. She stayed until she met everyone who attended and spent time with all of us. Very happy to have met her after all these years.
Thanks for capturing some video and pictures @greywoodesamrette 🫡
