It’s hard to wrap my head around so much loss, but all I can say is I love Los Angeles to my core. This place has been my home for almost 12 years - and the people, the wildlife, the food, the community have been so good to me. I’ve found parts of myself here I didn’t know existed, particularly through endless exploration into the canyons, hills, and wherever a trail would take me.
A lot of people have been checking in on me, Sarah and Louie ( mostly Louie) and we are safe and fortunate to still have our home. People have also been asking how to help, and I think as of now, while there are so many amazing volunteers on the ground and resources being donated, I believe the best way to help is by giving directly via GoFundMe’s for the people impacted, so they can get back on their feet in the way that works for them. There’s a link in my bio for a list of GoFundMe’s that have met less than 30% of their goals.

I’ve been lucky to see with some of my closest relationships how gender affirming care is without question life saving. With my partner, I’ve been lucky to see over 4 years how that experience has shaped and shifted into an album.
