If only that one thing didn’t happen that one time— then everything would be perfect about my life: because it wouldn’t be my life. My life would instead belong to the person in which that one thing did in fact happen to that one time. Which makes me think: Am I really willing to give up my life? “We had the experience but missed the meaning.” Do not excuse me, yes, I am getting emotional right now thinking about all the times I have missed a rhyme in my life— in pursuit of some flimsy completion. Naaaaaaaaaw. I’ma wave in this one. Pirouette slow from the nearest slice of sky y’all got. They’re ain’t an exit in existence that you can escort me to. You ain’t finna play no music. These are the days when mountains become mole hills, again. Zhailon– We all wearing a smile in every dimension we know you in. We all syncing up for the afters. We all touching the root of laughter. There is a blemish of God left on everything you touch. A sacred discoloration. Proof of the divine human. What makes a love-story beautiful. What makes reconciliation a triumph. You can not tell me I ain’t singing your name today, Pretty. Ain’t giving a demon reason to steam. These are war times & our weapon are our lives. What we allow to collide with our minutes. & look at this– what you’ve built. An army of artistry. It is medicine–the ways you decide to spend your days.
