Today marked our 60th Village-Works art class. 60!!! I still can't believe that. Huge thank you to @thedivinghorseac for coming out and leading today's workshop at @mightywriters . Every student left with the newest issue of their magazine. Thank you to @tonyboloneys for the pizzas and to my girl @amichelle1029 for providing her cake pops for all to enjoy today! Two monks were traveling together along a country road after heavy rain. The path was thick with mud. Ahead, they came upon a beautifully dressed young woman standing at the edge of a large puddle. Her silk robes would be ruined if she tried to cross. Seeing the monks, she sharply demanded that they carry her over. Without a word, the older monk stepped forward, lifted her into his arms, carried her carefully across the mud, and set her down gently on the other side. She did not thank him. She simply adjusted her clothes and walked away. The monks continued their journey in silence for several hours. Finally, unable to contain himself, the younger monk said, “We are vowed to avoid contact with women. Why did you carry her?” The older monk replied calmly, “I carried her across the puddle and left her there. Why are you still carrying her?”

In one week we say goodbye to the place I’ve called home for the past 4 years. We built something beautiful together and I can’t wait to see all of you and celebrate it one last time. I’ve been lucky enough to make some extremely talented friends along the way and they are coming out to help us say goodbye. @bakoliketaco has been killing it this year with the release of her new album (the vinyl is 🔥) and she coming back home to perform for one night only ! This alone should be reason to pull up for sure. Backing her on the keys , we have the Grammy nominated, key to the city holding one and only @saintluk3 tearing it up And if that wasn’t enough, the best DJ in AC , @kjbutta is helping us burn it down all night long Major thank you to @stephen.weiss.10 , @phunkydelic and Honey Buzz Dispensary who will be giving out prerolls , dabs and keeping everyone in a higher state of consciousness It wouldn’t be a party if we didn’t have our good friends and the best beer in the world, @theseedbeer flowing all night There will be fun guys chilling all night for everyone 🍄🍄 And most of all, so much amazing ART ! You all have been showing up with so much amazing work, i really can’t wait to share the show with all of you 💛 This is a no commission show and there is nothing better than giving someone the unique gift of art and supporting an artist directly and completely this holiday season.
