Who Am I? … Multi-dimensional! Like you too — am I right?
- “A being of Earth” - I get to be a part of Earth in this lifetime, which I choose to enjoy and find joy in.
- “Yura Sapi” - means tree roots in my Indigenous language Kichwa, reminding me of an important purpose to grow these roots and help others remember the roots
- “Triple citizen” - literally hold 3 citizenships of today’s imaginary borders and it’s been helpful to dive deeper into understanding what that means for the connection building, bridge building between cultures and locations.

Your grant application is not being read by a robot. It’s being read by humans.
And humans come with assumptions, preferences, unconscious bias, emotional reactions, and sometimes immediate judgments.
That doesn’t mean the system is broken.
It means strategy matters.
How your application feels to read matters more than artists realize.
Clear ≠ boring.
Human ≠ unprofessional.
AI-sounding ≠ impressive.
If you’re applying for grants internationally, this conversation matters even more.
And if you want my grant tracker with the exact things you should be tracking before and after submitting applications so you stop doing this chaotically…
