It’s been a year since I was crowned the very first Ms.
San Marcos Pride, and I still hold this achievement so near and dear to my heart. It was the first of many: my first pageant, my first year performing live in drag, my first time answering onstage Q&A, and most of all, my first title. I went in prepared to give my best, never expecting to win, but ready to showcase my art with everything I had.
I believe when you work hard for something, you deserve to be rewarded, and I’m so happy to see
@cookie_rey_dlux step into the crown with all the growth and dedication she’s shown over the past year.
She is not the same artist I met a year ago, and I couldn’t be prouder. Congratulations as well to the other finalists
@kenyawintour08 and
@msfoxxybabe you were both phenomenal and would have also made incredible winners!
At the end of the day, this pageant is about more than a crown, it’s a celebration of the vibrant and beautiful drag talent San Marcos has to offer. Shoutout to all the artists who competed, because you deserve to be recognized too:
@cassidy_hollow @jinx.the.minx @sanguiine.star @schitzothaklown @rheamoonlight_
A huge thank you to
@smtxqc and
@solangelvergara_xo for making this all possible, along with everyone behind the scenes whose hard work often goes unseen.
This chapter may be closing for me, but the legacy of being the first will always live on. And remember, when it comes to drag, to community, to love-it’s never really over.
Every bit of engagement fuels visibility. As always, please like, comment, repost, share, and save the post!
Thank you once again for your continued support!
