During the last week of Black History Month, I taught an all levels contemporary fusion class as a part of @baseatvcu ‘s week of community dance classes to end off their month of black art events. Thank you to everyone who took class with me!! I had so much fun <3
On November 23rd, I had the honor of performing @chyniathecreator ’s work “to discard, to repair.” This site-specific work was presented in part 2 of @inter9ine , the @vcuartsdance senior class’ collection of capstone works.
Thank you Chynia for letting me be a part of this incredible piece of art. Through this process, I’ve learned so many things that I will take with me as a performer, a choreographer, and as a creative person in this world. It’s been a pleasure to take a step into the world of such a powerful creative mind and bring the audience along for the journey.
