Comment EMAIL to get all the templates delivered to your inbox, hotānāfresh babyyyy
Iāve gone back to these email templates time and time again to send to past clients (or even would-have-been-but-didnāt-have-the-budget clients) and turned my inbox into income.
Because clients arenāt mind readers.
Because we sometimes just need to frame it right to be hired.
Because thereās nothing worse than staring at a blank email screen thinking WTF do I write?
I got you
All the templates are in a Google Doc ready for you to swipe, season and hit send.
All you gotta do is comment EMAIL
Surviving primary school politics = surviving freelancer life.
You know whatās wild? Every āweaknessā those kids pointed out turned into my business superpower.
Too eager? Thatās called having a strong work ethic.
Too intense? Clients love passionate people.
Weird interests? Niche expertise pays better anyway.
All those years of navigating mean girls and social rejection was basically a masterclass in handling difficult clients and project ghosting.
Getting excluded from lunch tables taught me how to network with strangers.
Being the ānew kidā constantly? Hello, pitching skills.
The irony is beautiful - the same traits that made me an outsider in the schoolyard make me indispensable in the boardroom. Every eye roll from a popular girl was training for every client who doesnāt āgetā my vision at first.
Plot twist: that quiet kid eating alone wasnāt learning how to disappear. She was learning how to build something so good that people would come find her instead.
(Shoutout to my now husband who saw potential in a flat-chested girl while sporting a bowl cut himself. True love is being weird together from day one š)

I think I was scared to share this story because I felt ashamed.
Ashamed that I let the lines blur.
Ashamed that I, of all people who talk so passionately about the value of relationships, ended up in one Iām not proud of.
For a few years, this wasnāt just āa clientā or āanother project on the plateā
It was a huge part of my life.
The work was incredible.
The opportunities were wild.
The relationship meant a lot to me.
And thatās why the ending felt so heavy.
It didnāt feel like wrapping up a project.
It felt like grieving a friendship.
Hereās what I see now:
Not every relationship in business is meant to last forever.
Some teach you how strong you are.
Some teach you how clear you need to be.
Some teach you where the boundary actually lives.
This one did all three.
And while Iāll never be thrilled about how it ended, I am grateful for the role it played in shaping me⦠as a creative, as a business owner, and as a human who now knows peace is part of the price tag.

And because no two are the same, I get to use MY creative brain to help THEIR creative brain.
Cos some freelancers need help fixing their prices⦠others donāt
Some need a second set of eyes on their offers⦠some donāt
A few need help with messaging and speaking to the right kind of client⦠others have that nailed
And most, if not all, need the permission slip to build the business they actually want rather than the one they were told they should.
This is why 1:1 coaching suits the way I teach, and in a world of sweeping advice and fitting into labels, I think itās more valuable for someone to ask āWhat do YOU WANT, letās find a way to get you there with your skills, brain and businessā
Ps if you have been a student or are currently a student, whether that be 1:1, noodle, master freelancer or something else, help a gal out and let me know below if Iām on the money here⦠pretty sure I am

Today I was on Ticker talking about all things Claude Design and how itās sending many designers into an absolute freak out.
Because if the AI is now the one doing the slide decks, building the landing pages, coding and coworking and creating things for clients⦠where does that leave them?
And I get it, truly I do. When Claude Design was mentioned on a call this week, my face had subtitles I needed to hide.
But like most innovation, there are good parts and bad parts. But hereās what to remember if youāre a designer mid-spiralā¦
1. Claude Design has killed the excuses, but not the designers
2. If your job can be swapped for a prompt, thatās not your genius
3. Those designers scared are likely the same selling software access and hours rather than expertise.
Those who are going to make this new era work for them will be the ones who see problems before they exist and sell the solution, who focus on the personal connection than the prompt engineering and who utilised AI for the service it is in harmony with their own skills
Anyway, thatās my two cents
Obviously said in Kent Brockman voiceoverā¦

I started serving Pricing Gut Checks earlier this year and hereās what Iām seeing:
- Most freelancers are charging too low, prioritising being liked over being paid well enough to do a good job
- Half of the creatives who ordered are trying to serve as many people as possible rather than choosing a specialty and itās making their messaging mean nothing
- Two thirds of creatives are relying on ONE pricing method to keep their business running and itās the MOST expensive one for their own sanity and time, but the least profitable
And every single freelancer and creative was missing a really simple shift that could make them thousands after they change it. And that to me is the biggest reason to grab a Pricing Gut Check for yourself.

Genuine question: does anyone read or hear āyouāre not behindā and sigh with relief, grateful that some stranger has clocked their coordinates and said āthis is fineā
And who wants to be fine?! No thanks
Donāt worry, I hear the irony. But I just donāt think itās helpful.
Not for the freelancer who wants to feel like their financial goals are worth fighting for.
Not for the creative whoās worked hard to get to a place where their creativity is valuable.
Not for the designer or illustrator or content creator or creative business owner who knows that thereās more work to be done and is completely disinterested in being coddled.
This is for the high achiever who needs that fire under their butt to make the damn things happen.
The $10k, $20k, even $30k months that GET to feel normal
The client flow that ACTUALLY flows
The confidence built up to a DANGEROUS level because they know this is what they are supposed to be doing.
Behind? Bullshit
Swipe through. This oneās for you.

Over 8 totally bingeable episodes I break down the 6 shifts I made to build 6 figure success in my own creative freelance business and how you can too. All while staying solo, sane and sleeping.
If youāre a freelancer or creative with six figures (first revenue, then profit) in your sights for 2026, this is absolutely for you!
Iām gonna break the fourth wall for a sec.
This carousel either called you out or called you home.
It either got you all defensive or made you feel less alone.
And now youāre either pissed off or kinda wanna cry with relief.
Both are fine.
And this is going to sound harsh, but the sooner you accept that charging more means actually being better than others and seeing that through, the sooner you start making money from the creative genius that is genuinely worth the price tag.
Ironically, Iām in mindset coaching for this. Not because I donāt know it. Because knowing it, articulating it and living it are all very different things.
Save this for when you need it. Even if thatās now.
