Just touched down in LDN town! I had the incredible opportunity to assist @chefpyet in a collaborative pop up at @luckycatbygordonramsay ! It was an honor to help bring these ingredients and dishes overseas and experience life in a kitchen of this caliber (it’s no joke 😅😂). Special thanks to: @will_hughes10 - maybe the best dancer in England, also a gem of a man and an incredible chef. Certified in my book ✅ @chefbrejackson being a DAB and helpin when we need/keeping me sane and fed 😂🫶🏽 @chefnekia for pullin up and puttin in WORK!! Always throws down and has the perfect answer for everything ❤️‍🔥

For our second installment of spring and summer programming - CAIMITA presents a beachside live fire cooking workshop led by the one and only @yourchefgrace , to know her is to love her! It’ll be an afternoon shaped by fire, salt, ocean air, and good company. Together, we’ll learn how to build and tend a live fire, cooking premium quality proteins, from @creamco_meats , suspended over open flame, alongside seasonal sides and dessert. We’ll close with a shared meal at sunset, gathered by the ocean. 🌞🌊 Saturday, May 23rd 2pm-7pm. This one is not to be missed! Space is extremely limited. 🎟️🔗 in bio 🌀

Welcome back to another episode of Cooking With Friends. This time I’m at the beach with my friend Grace, a chef whose whole culinary world revolves around live fire cooking. I’ve always been fascinated by the rhythm of fire, how you build it, tend to it, and learn to cook with it rather than control it. Grace brought an incredible tomahawk steak from McCall’s Meat & Fish and showed me one of her favorite techniques. She drilled a hole through the bone so we could suspend the steak over the fire, slowly raising and lowering it to control the heat and get that perfect cook. Around it we roasted vegetables right in the flames and made a few simple sauces to bring everything together. Cooking over fire is one of the oldest culinary practices humans have. Long before kitchens and stoves, fire was the center of nourishment and community, where people gathered to cook, share stories, and feed one another. That connection hasn’t really changed. There is something grounding about tending a flame, adjusting the heat, and letting smoke and time shape the food. It slows you down and pulls you fully into the moment. Watching Grace work was half the fun. She has this fearless, MacGyver energy around fire, rigging up our cooking setup on the sand and making it all feel effortless. Being around that kind of confidence and creativity is contagious. Cooking over an open fire with the ocean nearby, good friends, and beautiful ingredients has a way of feeding more than just your stomach. It fills the spirit too.
