My kid builds funny objects and I take photos of them (with him) . . . No new objects so far because we spend our time mostly outside eating ice cream but here‘s a little glimpse of what happens when we are at home 🙃

My kid builds funny objects and I take photos of them (with him) . . . . It has been a little quiet around here because the master of (the most beautiful) disaster turned 4 and we were busy celebrating. There has never been a time like this were I just want everything (or at least most things) to stay exactly like this and I wish you could be 4 for another 20 years or so because honestly, the first 3 years of motherhood hadn’t been easy and I really struggled to find my way into motherhood. It’s not given that with having a baby you are A MOTHER just like that and everything feels natural. In my case - it sure did not! Being (or becoming) a mother and building up something like a career simultaneously was by far the most challenging time I’ve been through and I want to give myself credit for it: I am really proud of me wearing this very warm but very heavy motherhood-coat while maintaining a (sane) independent personality, having a relationship on eye level, participating in something like a social and professional life, run a household, dividing what’s important from what’s someone else bs opinion, trying to fight against stereotypical images of how women should act-be-look-feel-whatever and last but not least becoming the parent I want to be for my child(ren). I am not good with words but I am sharing this because I think guiding a child into this world should be something more valued like caring about others in general should be more valued and all the struggles that comes with it should not be hidden. ✌️
