YOOL means path 🌙
It’s crazy to think that YOOL started back in 2020 during the production of my debut feature, ANIMA. From festival runs at @gff to finding a home in Vienna, the journey has been incredible.
In 2025, YOOL Films officially took its next big step. Partnering with the talented Jonathan Meiri, we established our base at YOOL Studio Vienna. Our first collaboration, Centro di Gravità Permanente, took us to the Venice Film Festival (Venice Days) @labiennale - and we’re just getting started!
Currently, we’re putting the finishing touches on shorts and documentaries shot across Russia, Cyprus, and Greece, while in development for our next feature film. Can’t wait to share these stories with you all in the coming years!

Three years ago, in Italy, our firstborn – the film “Anima” – premiered in the world, a creation born from the combined efforts of so many.
Now, as I look back on these scenes, a soft melancholy washes over me. Time, it seems, is a relentless river, carrying us onward.
I’ve always held a deep appreciation for the communal act of watching a film in a theater, surrounded by others. It elevates cinema to the realm of music, a fleeting moment that exists only in the “here and now,” never to be replicated. That’s why I hesitated to release the film online and still do.
However, I want to share a few fragments of the film with you, to preserve those gone russian youth moments to cherish here and with hope to watch this film when we (older and hopefully wiser) gather altogether in the forests of Komarovo in the beautiful Russia of the future.
