‘Imens Lyset Tøver’ er et nyt lysværk af Yoke.
Værket tager afsæt i Ole Rømers opdagelse i 1676 af, at lyset har en hastighed. Med udgangspunkt i hans observationer af Io i kredsløb om Jupiter undersøger installationen, hvordan bevægelse, afstand og tid kan omsættes til en rumlig oplevelse.
Installationen udfolder sig i tre akter — skala, rum og tid. Cirkulære lysformationer bevæger sig i et kontinuerligt kredsløb omkring toppen af Rundetaarn og refererer til de astronomiske bevægelser, der gjorde det muligt at påvise lysets tøven.
Lys og lyd er integreret i et samlet forløb, hvor arkitektur og bevægelse aktiveres som en del af værkets struktur.

Fra 6. februar til 6. april kan du opleve "Imens Lyset Tøver" – en helt særlig lysinstallation skabt af designstudiet Yoke i anledning af 350-året for Ole Rømers opdagelse af lysets hastighed.
Lysværket fortolker Rømers observationer af Jupiters måne Io og markerer starten på årsprogrammet "Lysår 2026" i Rundetaarn. 🔭 🌖
Her er en unik mulighed for at opleve lyskunst på toppen af tårnet, mens Observatoriet restaureres på gaden. "Imens Lyset Tøver" indgår også i Copenhagen Light Festival.
