The only thing I truly desire is that through the grace He’s given me as a musician and creative, I create in ways that move minds and hearts to consider Him.
This here is the start of me sharing my personal creative journey… And at the core of it all is one cry:
“Jesus… I need You.”
If I’m being completely honest and transparent… in this season, a LOT of it has been the fear of losing Him…
but even deeper than that, it’s realizing I can’t do this without Him.
And honestly… I NEVER want to.
Grateful that He is able to keep me, even when I feel like I’m barely holding on…

Behind every great body of work is a mastermind, and for On My Heart, Off My Chest, that mastermind is my friend, my brother, my colleague, my MD, and my Executive Producer, Deon Moon. 👑✨
When I say this man is a true genius with the music, it is an understatement. Deon doesn’t just play notes; he expresses pure emotion through sound. He poured his absolute heart and soul into this project, and you can hear it in every single chord.
It took two full years to truly capture the essence of what this album was meant to be, and it was worth every single second. I’ll be the first to admit—I wasn’t always the easiest to work with. 😂 Through all of my impatience, my endless questioning, my moments of doubt, and my constant nagging, Deon never wavered. For the last 4 months of this journey, he completely locked in and controlled every single piece of the music, protecting the vision when I couldn’t even see it clearly.
I love you, Deon, for knowing me so well, holding me down, and pulling the absolute best out of me. I pray that God continues to pour into you, bless your gift, and allow you to keep ministering to the soul through your music. This album wouldn’t exist without you. 🤎

Another year, same heart posture… Grateful and ALL GLORY TO GOD. May this be an encouragement to you but also a reminder to myself… “You Need Jesus”. May this year lead to more dependency on the one who is more than enough. God I desire to trust you even when it doesn’t make sense or when it doesn’t feel good. This will be a year or Proverbs 3:5-6. Know that His desires for you are pure, for His Glory and for Your good. It’ll all make sense in due time… but you have to trust Him.
