Yesterday, I had the privilege of co-hosting the inaugural South East Maths Olympiad in Enugu, a remarkable initiative designed to revive and strengthen a culture of mathematical excellence, critical thinking, and STEM proficiency among primary, junior, and senior secondary school students.
With over 11,522 participants from across the five South Eastern states, the enthusiasm, brilliance, and determination displayed by these young learners was truly inspiring.
As we celebrate International Women’s Day today, it also serves as a reminder of how important it is to continue encouraging young girls to see themselves in spaces of knowledge, innovation, and leadership, while celebrating every young mind striving for excellence.
