FACE Festival – Day 5 spotlighted youth leadership and community-led innovation, with delegates exploring practical tools for devolving power and shaping Regional decision-making.
The event was opened by Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham, who emphasised the importance of collective ownership in bringing the GM Live Well Participation Playbook to life—through the work of organisations, businesses, and community voices.
This video captures Elevate Young Minds contribution, led by our director Edenamiuki Aiguobasinmwin, as part of the Live Well movement and his role as a GM Shaper, helping shape a healthier, more inclusive Greater Manchester.

Today marks the end of another successful European Youth Event at @europeanparliament parliament Strasbourg. In which @elevateyoungminds , inspired and supported the engagement and navigation of UK youths and youth organizations.
Over six years, we’ve grown a delegation from my first solo trip to regular delegates from multiple youth development organizations, inspired to ensure young Mancunians have acess to global learning platforms. Our delegation represented a diverse community of artists, youth workers, advocates, and future policymakers all building lasting connections with their European peers.
Highlights of favourite topics engaged in during this visit:
CHANGEMAKERS: from committed art to democratic artivism - Explore how art can inspire civic engagement and political change
Unlocking opportunities: pathways to fair employment for youth
Peace in Europe: towards a new EU defence policy
This biennial event is more than a trip abroad: it’s a declaration that despite Brexit, the UK’s young people must stay plugged into Europe’s debates, culture and shared future.
