@heath_hk present “POSITIONS: HA-HA”, a cultural retail-exhibition transforming the underground of Chungking Mansions into a temporary stage for fashion, design, music, and books. Inspired by the ha-ha, an 18th-century landscape device that creates an invisible boundary while maintaining an open view, the project reflects the layered and transient nature of Chungking Mansions—long known as a multicultural hub of lodges, restaurants, and small businesses.
Through a flexible installation of eight modular structures referencing Hong Kong’s rolling street carts (走鬼檔), the space shifts between retail, exhibition, and performance. Bringing together six East Asian designers—Christian Stone (HK), N-0 (HK), Symmetrical Society (KR), Opus 0012 (KR), Office H (CN), and Yat Pit (HK)—the project also hosts Domino Architecture Bookshop from Seoul, presenting a curated selection of architecture and art publications including Harvard Design Magazine, Domo, and Domino Press.
