We're excited to welcome Queen City Yarn @queencityyarn back to Yarncentrick! Janis is the colorful, cat-loving, yarn-dying enthusiast behind Queen City Yarn.
After spending undergrad and grad school at Savannah College of Art and Design, she found her day job didn’t offer the creative inspiration she craved. Knitting became her outlet, then side hustle, and now full-time venture with a small but mighty team.
Queen City offers a base for every season, but their two most popular are Coleman (a DK Silk/Linen blend) that's perfect for hot and humid summers as well as for layering pieces in cooler months. And Latta (a sport weight, Non-Superwash Merino/Rambouillet wool) that comes in three put-ups, from petites to super skeins.
They also have a discord group and a monthly podcast on YouTube called ‘Here’s the Stitch’.

Even though I am mostly a sweater knitter, I absolutely adore an exquisite shawl design, like this Evening Sun shawl designed by our Spring @twistedcraftworks from the shop. Inspired by her two favorite @labienaimee colors, Vintage Grellow and Yellow Brick Road Graffiti, this stunning shawl flew off Spring’s needles as many of us watched with great admiration. The design of this beautiful shawl will be launched this Friday and we will have the shawl with us at our booth at @yarncentrick . And a new shipment of @labienaimee Merino Super Sock 🧶 just arrived today. We can’t wait to show you this beauty along with the yarns to make it @yarncentrick .✨

Inspired by a love of woods, mountains, and the outdoors, Camp Stitchwood @camp.stitchwood is a collection of goods and gear for fiber fans with a summer camp twist. Artist and designer Augusta is an avid knitter based out of Richmond, VA. A former Girl Scout totally obsessed with earning badges, she now designs nature and scouting-inspired goods for knitters and makers, including a line of Purl Scout merit badges.
