Meet the founder and CEO of YardTime Entertainment, Inc Mr. Joesph “Toot” Bennett. Joseph Bennett was born and raised in Mission Hill projects in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. Affectionately known to many as “Toot” or “Joey” Joseph Bennett's formative years were interrupted when his uncle William Bennette was falsely accused of Murder in the 1989 infamous “Charles Stuart case” that made national headlines. Joseph Bennett had a front-row seat to the police brutality and harassment that plagued mission hill during the Charles Stuart murder investigation. A few years later in 1993 Bennett finds himself in the same situation as his uncle wrongfully accused of the Morning Star Baptist Church stabbing. The commonwealth chose to nolle prosequi this case thus Bennett was not convicted of the stabbing. Again in January of 1997, Joseph Bennette was falsely accused of first-degree murder ina Boston nightclub-this time Joeseph was wrongfully convicted and incarcerated for 22 years. On May 11,2026, The city witnessed a man suffering from mental illness experience a meltdown in public and broad daylight. This was very much concerning for me because I traveled this exact path during some of my bike rides. But what was more than concerning, is that I know Tyler and I know how much he suffered from his illness while we were incarcerated together. Yes, it is unfortunate some people got injured during this incident but it almost certainly could have been worse. Mental health is an illness and when you don’t treat it as such, violence usually comes out of nowhere. I am very vocal about my mental health and my own struggles with mental illness. But I do have a community of friends and people who support me without being able understand my struggles. May is Mental Health Awareness Month and we have to start acknowledging the impact that mental health has on our community and the lives of the people who are suffering in silence. 🤐! There is a SWITCH that could happen in a split second when dealing with someone who has mental health issues. I am still struggling with this issue and causes me bi polar moments which is sometimes concerning for people around me. So in light of what happened, try not to judge someone for their actions, especially when they clearly are dealing with something more serious and personal INSIDE OF THEIR OWN HEAD!!! Prayers 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 for the victims of this tragic incident!!!

Partnership Over Politics‼️ Despite the news of recent budget cuts, our commitment to the Office of Black Male Advancement remains unshaken. Partnerships aren’t defined by a balance sheet, they’re defined by the work we do when things get tough. We had an incredible time at the OBA mixer, connecting with leaders and brothers who are on the front lines of change. A budget cut might change the resources, but it doesn’t change the mission. We are still showing up, still pouring into our youth, and still standing ten toes down for the advancement of Black men and boys in our city. To the team at OBA, Thank you for your partnership and your resilience. We’re in this for the long haul. #thelifeafterprison #lifeafterprison #blackmaleadvancement #youth #3PoundsOfPressure

Arlington High School ( @ahs_ponders ) presents: #IncarcerationToTransformation Objective: Build Identity, Agency, and Future‑Focused Decision‑Making 🗓️ 4/30/26 | 10:30a Curated by @motivatedbymathematics A true pleasure bringing this experience to life — guiding students as they absorb the vulnerabilities and lived experiences of men who have navigated our legal system, committed to restorative work, and devoted themselves to a collective mission ensuring the path they walked toward grateful freedom doesn’t become someone else’s. Their journeys — from the realities of imprisonment to the unspoken myths of the streets, and ultimately to finding meaning in the time they served — are profoundly humbling.
