I've moved out of London
It was exhausting and expensive
But I got there in 2022 with a laptop, a couple guitars, no network, and big hopes for a music career.
I left after doing what I set out to do, and that's pretty cool so I'm going to boast about it!
I got to play major UK festivals with a bunch of great artists, I produced and recorded for dozens of clients from all around the world, I released my first solo EP (with some amazing guests) after having released a previous collab EP which was cool and did well, I found a beautiful musical tribe made of amazing friends and teachers, and embarked on a journey with, in my opinion, probably the best Jazz label in the UK. There's so much more to say but you get the idea.
I might be back very soon, but if anything I definitely won't be far at all.

Working with Charlie was amazing. His focus was on capturing moments, drawn from my every day environment - where I exist, live, and make music - simultaneously throwing me into situations I have never been in whilst getting expressions out of me I didn't know my face could pull. I think art is just supposed to be fun and feel good. It's so easy to get thrown into a world of expectations and comparisons that make you slowly lose the love for it, but that day watching Charlie being completely absorbed by what he was doing reminded me why I wanted to pay my bills making music for myself and others.
