tried hiking barefoot today like all the older Koreans in the mountain, and you know what? we get it.
side note: I’ve been thinking about the concept of “unfamiliar heaven over familiar hell” a lot these days… what do you think?
🌸 wandered towards some cherry blossoms behind my apartment and found pure serendipity 🌸
Because what do you mean there was a whole waterfall a 10 min walk away😃… I need to get out more…

because I still visit the floating bungalows in my dreams…
Khao Sok had to be the most short lived, yet deeply registered experiences during my solo trip last month.
After flying Chiang Mai to Surat Thani, I walked in to check into the hostel room to 4 near naked Norwegian men (one of them was actually really hot), but also friends I’d stick with for the rest of the trip. Grateful for the certain richness of knowing that I was passing through golden moments of my life, forcing me to be present, laugh a little harder, and do the things I was afraid of.
To my fated Khao Sok roommates (literal strangers sharing beds since we were all solo traveling), thank you for being silly with me :)
