4/11.17年一緒に過ごした、私の大好きな猫のコタローが天国へ旅立ちました。
この子は捨てられていて瀕死の状態だったところを、友人のハロシくんたちが救ってくれた3兄妹のうちの一匹です。
ハロシくん @haroshi のところがNICOちゃん、アキバくん @xxmographixx のところがポンコちゃん。
兄妹はとてもよく似ていて、本当に可愛い子たちでした。
コタローは少し鈍臭くて、ときどき足を滑らせてテーブルから落ちたり、夕飯のカレーに間違って足を入れてしまったり。
僕が移動するといつもあとをずっとついてきてくれて、そんな愛おしい存在でした。
そんなコタローが、僕は大好きでした。
実はコタローは「NEKOTARO」のモデルでもあります。
まるまるとした丸い顔や、どこか憎めない間の抜けた雰囲気は、そのままコタローを投影したものです。
これからスタジオから帰ってきても、コタローのお出迎えがないと思うととても寂しいですが、
これまで一緒に過ごしてきた素敵な時間を大切に思い返しながら、これからも創作を続けていきたいと思います。

On 4/11, my beloved cat Kotaro, who I spent 17 years with, passed away and went to heaven.
He was one of three siblings who had been abandoned and were on the verge of death when my friend Haroshi and others rescued them.
NICO went to live with Haroshi @haroshi , and Ponko with Akiba @xxmographixx .
They all looked very similar and were truly adorable.
Kotaro was a little clumsy—sometimes he would slip and fall off the table, or accidentally step into my dinner curry.
Whenever I moved, he would always follow me around.
He was such a precious presence in my life.
I truly loved him.
In fact, Kotaro was also the model for “NEKOTARO.”
His round, chubby face and that slightly goofy, endearing personality were directly inspired by him.
It feels very lonely to think that when I come back from the studio, Kotaro won’t be there to greet me anymore.
But I want to cherish all the wonderful memories we shared, and continue creating my work while holding those moments close to my heart.
Kotaro, thank you so much for everything 😊
