He crafts a frenetic, ever-evolving sound world where jagged hardware rhythms collide with fractured, distorted loops, resulting in a volatile yet immersive blend of chaotic and layered qualities. Ahead of his Ametric Festival 2025 appearance, Chania-born sound artist Tristanos unveils a one-hour Fade Radio mix that charts the breadth of his research-driven practice. Rooted in psychoacoustics, indeterminacy and field recordings, he interlaces algorithmic mutations, spatial textures and live improvisation into a site-responsive sonic journey- an early glimpse of the soundworld he’ll unfold this September beneath the vaulted stone of San Salvatore Bastion.
An hour later, Turbo Teeth -the solo guise of Athens underground stalwart Giorgos Axiotis- shoves the faders into the red, where he puts together a mix full of fractured and distorted loops and warped, collapsing grooves fuse into a volatile yet strangely immersive whole, previewing the hyper-kinetic energy he’ll unleash on the Ametric stage.
