XM015 Low End Activist - JH Versions Following earlier appearances on Time Horizon IV and a remix for Pushlock's "Journey at the end of the Brain", Low End Activist returns to further cement his link with XCPT — this time with a full-length that extends into a shared message. It’s a record that deals in pressure and placement where the rhythms carry weight without dominating, allowing tones to dissolve at the edges. Space isn’t decorative here, it’s structural — carrying as much intent as the low-end itself. A respectful and meticulous approach emerges in the spectral handling of samples — spooked, finely cut, and quietly rooted in a jazz-derived sphere. Inspired by the 94-96 jazz-era of Jungle/ D&B from the likes of Photek, Wax Doctor & Alex Reece to name a few, the album stays locked into its own logic of reduction, control, and tension. What emerges is a fluid listening experience less about peaks, more about persistence, 8 Tracks spanning the various palette of bass music through the art of good sampling; both for the floor but also for intimate momentum of introspection. XM014 Rodja - Third Force Spanning a decade of recordings between Tehran and Matera, Rodja’s debut album is an immersion into dubbed-out sonics shaped by memory and experimentation. The nine tracks collected here trace a personal geography—moving between Ekbatan’s concrete echoes and the ancient stone reverberations of Matera. Rooted in dub science, the album unfolds as a series of versions, mutations, and reassemblies. Rhythms dissolve and re-emerge, fragments of sound are treated, re-treated, and sent back through the echo chamber—a study in transformation, where each piece feels like a parallel state of another. Working from tapes and DAT recordings, Nothus re-arranged the material in post-production, producing three further versions extending the album’s internal logic of drift, erosion, and return. Following his debut album last year, Sentient returns on the label with Unspeakable Periphery: Otherworld Transmission, a remix compilation that reframes his original work through the lens of a carefully curated group of artists. From Alpha Solo’s dubbed-out abstraction to Clearlight’s tekker translation, from Soreab and La Serpiente tense rhythmic frameworks, to Left Path and Barking hypnotic and meditative zones, the compilation traverses overall percussive science and atmospheric deconstructions. Closing the journey is a haunting illbient reinterpretation of the entire original album by Sentient himself, reassembling his own compositions into something more introspective - a stretched and fractured world somewhere adjacent to this one. Once a year, this place turns into a backdrop for cheap tourist contents. Like clockwork, people rush to escape their corporate cages just to flood the feed with shots of the Matera skyline chasing dopamine via screen. Meanwhile this land is quietly weeping. There’s no space for music, not for the younger generation, unless we talking about silly karaoke nights and pop cover bands. But beneath the surface, something real is happening. Honest musicians, local crews, and dedicated creatives are working in silence building a soundscape that’s chained to this territory, as a reminder that real culture is built, not streamed. For the first time, we’re showcasing a lineup almost entirely made up of homegrown artists bringing their sound to the rig. Rodja is preparing to release an album via XCPT soon, a body of work collecting recordings going back to 2010 — a sonic archive in the making that will unfold next weekend. I700N will present a new live set, diving deep into techno and bass-driven frequencies while iii will take care of in-and-out-bound procedures.
