Made in Walthamstow is a love letter to Xaymaca Awoyungbo’s ends 🏡
The brand new documentary tells the story of the unique kit collaboration between @walthamstowfc and @morrisgallery (the first time a museum has collaborated with a football team on a kit) ⚽️
In 20 sweet minutes, Made in Walthamstow explores the history of football kits, the significance of William Morris and the importance of community 🏘️
The documentary will be uploaded on Stow Stories’ YouTube channel soon - follow @stowstories for updates 💻

The Great British Yarn is my new film about the communities behind postbox toppers 📮 Although it may seem silly and whimsical at first glance, there’s actually a deeper message 💭 We can all come together to make our local areas better, no matter what our background 🇬🇧

Join us next month for a very special Crafty Movie Night! 🧶
Here’s how it works: we’ll have a screening and Q&A of the short film The Great British Yarn by @xaymacaa followed by a making and chatting session (which we all love) making our own postbox topper 📮
Extra yarn, needles and hooks will be available during the evening: we will make a start on a simple (but stunning) postbox topper made out of small patches and shapes that I will be crocheting all together. I will then install the postbox topper when finished on our nearest postbox for everyone to admire 🫶

I will then install the postbox topper when finished right on the postbox in front of the Cambria that you see in this video 🫶

I had the pleasure of directing a short film for @vam_east while I was a part of their youth collective 💐 It accompanies our curation of Scottish artist Eduardo Paolizzi’s works and was very much inspired by his pop art 🎨 Entitled ‘Reasonably Absurd’, it’s definitely one to check out in the new museum 🏛️
