Xanthia Ncube @xanthiancube
Xanthia Ncube is a British Zimbabwean artist who pulls from her heritage by creating bold and bright work reflective of the vibrancy of southern Africa. She mostly uses unconventional painting techniques combined with sourced materials as canvases. Her paintings are multilayered and often offer texture for the viewer to experience the art with both look and feel.
The painting featured is called ’Redemption’.
Xanthia describes it as
‘an abstract look at the internal battle, that plagues the human psyche’.
Xanthia’s faith is often shown through her work using imagery, symbolism and the written word. Through her art, Xanthia continues to explore the intersection of culture, faith, and creativity, inviting viewers to connect not only with her story, but also with their own sense of identity and expression.
