“Jump Cut”
I’ve left this sculpture hanging for a while, working on other things and not knowing where it needs to go. Still needs a lot of work. I used my dear friend Bruce’s trusted steed as the model for this piece. It’s currently sculpted in plastiline clay and will eventually be cast in another material once the piece is ready and mold is made.
Some more shots of my sculpture “Intermezzo”, which was originally created back in April. This is a new, second cast made from the original mold. Now fully assembled and ready to be shown at an upcoming exhibition.

The “L’écorché” by Jean-Antoine Houdon is a famous anatomical sculpture from the late 18th century, created to help artists and students understand the human body beneath the skin.
We made a silicone mold from this piece and are now offering resin copies for purchase. If you’re interested, please feel free to send us a message (information is in the bio).

Found these old pictures i took, back when they were removing the old hangars at the Schelde in Antwerp. Such an iconic place, felt like the city and my memories of it were changing fast. I made a note on the back of the second photograph but I can’t read it anymore. Decided to draw something for it, using an old animation technique. Thought it interesting to revisit and reimagine these moments. I’ll continue by making a sculpted frame for it.

Trying another approach with photographs and an old animation technique, in reference to the matte painting technique used in special effects. This is a first try out drawn in front of a photo i took on my trip in Sweden with @witoldvandenbroeck last year, more will follow.
