As a graphic designer, most of Kristi’s work lives in the digital world, so pottery has become her way to create something tangible — pieces that can be held, used, and enjoyed every day. @emiliecruisesavage uses a mix of hand building and wheel throwing, mainly inspired by the earth, movement, and dreams. Emilie decorates with a mix of underglaze and wax resist.Creating is therapeutic for her so her designs are usually thought of in the moment. Emilie’s favourite things to work on are bobble heads and vases. @handcraftedbylmfriesen describes her inspiration for these mugs - As a dog walker, and nature lover, these mugs are inspired by my walks through High Park and the delightful variety of wild life. Linda prefers working with Porcelain due to its refined elegant nature. Porcelain does not contain the grogginess found in both Earthenware and Stoneware thus glazes often appear glossier and brighter. Linda often layer glazes to create dynamic finishes with drips and flows.
