The hand-hewn stone cladding for this garage was salvaged from the original footings of this Federation beauty when we excavated a new level under the existing house. The stone was taken off site, stored and brought back, dressed and installed by our master stone masonry contractors. More to come on a new entry stair in the coming months!
Last year, we completed a new showroom and office for Humanscale, the leading designer and manufacturer of ergonomic products that improve the health and comfort of work life.
A global concept design by Reddymade based in New York was skilfully adapted to local standards by the team at Tribe Studio, by adopting the Humanscale philosophy that good design achieves more with less.
We were thrilled to deliver this space in a heritage building in Pitt St, Sydney.

Gardens and landscape are an investment in the future. A well planted garden can make a big difference in a development, making it feel grounded and established in a relatively short time. The first photo is at completion, and the second only 18 months later.
Heritage brought back to life as it was. When we started this project, our client was very clear that they wanted the original part of the house retained. We documented the tiling and made sure we could match it before the old tiles were removed in the process of adding another level under this Federation house. As we move towards completion, it is great to see these features reinstated. Thanks to our skilled tradesmen and @oldeenglishtiles for matching the originals. #tessellatedtiles
