I’ve started a label. It’s called High Priestess.
I’ve seen so much great music in the front range and so much of its documentation non-existent or slip through the cracks.
This label exists so showcase music and sounds that lie between intellect and intuition, the conscious and unconscious, instinct and patience.
The first release will be announced soon. Spoiler alert; it’s a physical release of an already released project.
I’m thrilled to get this going and I’m excited for the sounds that lie ahead.

Ever since I found out about music mountain I started developing a piece of music for cello to play on the summit. After learning about the technical terrain required to get to the top, I decided lugging a cello up there was not ideal.
Recently though I got a new saxophone, a soprano with a small enough case. So I lugged that up instead.
Ofcourse it was all about journey as it ends up usually being. Frozen gloves and temps and being so high up made it really really hard to play at the summit.
I love the high alpine. And it’s the main inspiration for a folk-drone album I’ve been recording. Excited to share demos of that soon.

Big news!! @sun_swept_ and I are hosting a free improv jam here in Denver once a month at @denver.music.venue
Open Field is a jam for all skill levels that randomly places people in combos of varying size. Expect to play in at least one combo. Any and all instruments welcome!
Arrive early for warmup and combo placement! Doors at 7!
A very strange past 6 months it’s been.
Regardless there is a lot to look forward to.
