The exhibition itself feels like a myriad of threads connecting us all. It was a blessing to be part of the opening, where resident artists from both Soulangh and Tsung-yeh gathered—hearing Wei Po Jen share so calmly (like a river flowing by), exchanging ideas, and even climbing up the ”embankment,“ laughing about our shared fear of heights and our big feet. Vessels, bodies, rivers, and each of us—carrying time, stories, and little pieces of something we’re still trying to weave together. And I truly hope this is just the beginning of a connection yet to be woven. . Sometimes love just ain’t enough (Not for my love for interpretation though😌) . “In the process of finding your ikigai (reason for being), love alone is not enough. To live, one must find meaning within (the demands of) society. Love AND meaning together form the essence of ikigai.” This is something Professor Loewy has emphasised again and again. International Design Seminar + Workshop

Antibes on film .

Snippets of summer — puzzles and pineapples. . Earlier this year, I quit my job and came back home. It feels like I’m reconnecting with my town in new ways — and art became (or maybe always has been) a frame to reflect on what I’m used to and lead to something new. Happy to team up with @christohwu , who brought his big heart and background in art into our everyday lives. Together we invited the kids to redraw puzzle pieces with the help of grids, and in the end we pieced the city back together — Chiayi Street Scene (1934) by Taiwanese artist Chen Cheng-po, glowing under the southern Taiwan sun. And it gleams and beams, knowing once the parts come together, the wiggly, the wobbly, even the little spiky taste vibrant and sweet. 🍍 Special thanks to Chris for taking part in this fun project, and to the Chen Cheng-po Cultural Foundation for letting us work with this artwork. Chen Cheng-po has been like an NPC in my life these past years, and somehow, so many paths trace back to him. . Artwork info | Chen Cheng-po, Chiayi Street Scene (1934). Oil on canvas, 91 × 116.5 cm. Just a reminder to take a deep breath, and a few more, to appreciate the trees, skies, and everything nice ⛰️ .
