The Ceremony
Following our wedding in Japan, @wtrgm and I are so fortunate to have celebrated our Catholic wedding in Manila with the blessing of the Archdiocese across our different faiths. To have stood at the altar of San Agustin Church, the very church where I was baptized, is among the many precious memories my family holds there with Wata now part of it. :)
We are immensely grateful to all our friends and family who joined us, to Fr. Rey Ballo, OSA for presiding our wedding, to @jets_rhona for taking such wonderful care of us from start to finish, to @msriza_a and @martini_muaph for my hair and make up, and to the amazing team of @kenjimercado at Pearl Studio @_pearlstudio for capturing these moments we will cherish for a lifetime. 🤍

The Ong-Gima Nuptials: November 1, 2025
Quite simply the best day of our lives. :)
We are immensely grateful to have celebrated our wedding on the day of our 10th anniversary, surrounded by our nearest and dearest. After days of heavy rain, we were blessed with the clearest skies on our wedding day; revealing the blue horizon over the Okinawan sea.
It was deeply important for us to incorporate Okinawa, Wata’s home and the place where our story began, into our wedding. From Okinawan Shisa on our invitations, symbolizing good fortune and protection, to a Sanshin performance welcoming our guests, and an Eisa performance bringing our celebration to a powerful close. Every detail honored this special place we call home. 🌺
Words could not express how thankful we are to our friends and family who travelled from all over the world/Japan to celebrate with us on our special day. :)
Lastly, we truly appreciate the efforts of our friend Tyler for hosting in English, Japanese, and Filipino (doing the Lord’s work 🙌🏼), our planner Igarashiさん @ritz_okinawa_wedding_flower for his untiring support, and our florist Saitoさん from Hibiya Kadan for making our visions come to life. 🥰

A wonderful staycation at ANA InterContinental Manza Beach Resort to celebrate our 4th year anniversary.
