The new Solaro® Made in Italy bunch tells its story through weaves, herringbones and fancies in both classic colours and new hues. There are two interpretations: one more traditional, with a heavier weight and impeccable drape, while the other is a lighter, more contemporary version, yet equally faithful to the character of an iconic fabric that changes according to the light. Soon available at the finest tailors and the most prestigious menswear stores. #VitaleBarberisCanonico #Harrisons1863 #Solaro #TheOriginalSolaro #SolaroMadeinItaly

Solaro® Made in Italy reveals itself to the light. It is in sunlight that the fabric expresses its most authentic nature: an iridescent surface whose reflections and depth reveal themselves when in motion, providing a unique and ever‑changing visual richness. #VitaleBarberisCanonico #Harrisons1863 #Solaro #TheOriginalSolaro #SolaroMadeinItaly

Harrisons meets Vitale Barberis Canonico, bringing together two historic names in textile manufacturing, united by a shared dedication to heritage, craftsmanship and the pursuit of excellence. At the centre of this collaboration is Solaro® Made in Italy: for the first time, under an exclusive licence, the iconic British fabric is reinterpreted through the savoir-faire and sensibility of Italian weaving, while preserving the qualities that have defined it over time. Rooted in mutual respect and a shared vision, this partnership creates a dialogue between two textile cultures and nations, where tradition and expertise meet to honour the identity of The Original Solaro® while opening it to its new expressions. The capsule collection will be distributed by Drapers – and in the UK by Harrisons – to selected tailors and leading menswear stores worldwide from May 2026. #Harrisons1863 #VitaleBarberisCanonico #Solaro #TheOriginalSolaro #SolaroMadeinItaly

Today we want to talk about barathea, a fabric which has always evoked the atmosphere of famous salons and of black-tie events. Combed and sheared, with a slightly uneven surface and a thin rib that subtly captures the light, barathea comes from the weave of the same name, originating from a satin weave. It is a fabric requiring combed wool and mohair yarns in order to preserve its light weight and sheen, especially for gala evening. Sculptured suits, high-rank uniforms or refined dinner jackets: barathea has always understood how to combine rigour with grace, tradition with modernity. In wool and mohair blends, in colours like white, black or the most iconic midnight blue, which darkens in artificial light, it illuminates with refined brilliance, telling the story of discreet elegance alongside a hint of playfulness. Unlock the full story in My VBC Glossary, available on Drapers Italy’s e-shop. #VitaleBarberisCanonico #MyVBCGlossary #Barathea

With the furniture designed by Dragons of Walton Street, Vitale Barberis Canonico’s iconic woollen flannel finds new expression. Chosen to cover some of the more representative pieces of the children’s collection, from the Canopy Bed to the Bunk Bed, from the Boy’s Bed to the Hippo Armchair, through to the Giraffe Pouf and cushions, the flannel translates the woollen mill’s textile heritage into a tangible and welcoming presence, created to be a companion in a universe made up of discovery and imagination. A celebration of childhood, where timeless craftsmanship becomes part of the memories, dreams, and wonder that shape life’s earliest years. #VitaleBarberisCanonico #DragonsOfWaltonStreet #FuoriSalone #BreraDesignDistrict

Material is not limited to dressing a space: it also defines its language. In the Brera Design District, the Vitale Barberis Canonico showroom hosts the meeting with @dragonsofwaltonstreet , the historical British luxury children’s furnishing brand, led by the creative direction of @carlocolomboarch and @a2plus_group . The textile heritage of the famous woollen mill is blended with the world of Dragons: its iconic worsted flannel covers some of the more distinctive pieces of the brand, transforming the fabric into a live presence, integrating with shapes, functions and atmospheres. A dialogue between material and design that speaks of time, growth and beauty to discover from childhood on. #VitaleBarberisCanonico #DragonsOfWaltonStreet #FuoriSalone #BreraDesignDistrict

Yellow requires sensitivity: it suits those whose features have a natural ability of welcoming the light. On golden skins, it reveals all its warmth, while on cooler complexions it becomes a lively accent, a detail that glows without overwhelming. It is the colour of light itself and, just as the light, it changes depending on who it meets. #VitaleBarberisCanonico #AprilWearsYellow

The history of yellow is a continuous play of light. In the 1700s, it lit up French silks with straw- or lemon-coloured reflections, shades able to transform the fabric into a small architecture of brilliance. Brighter pigments arrived with the 1800s, and yellow gained new intensity: audacious, more modern, closer to the spirit of the changing cities. Today, it still keeps that energy, becoming a style choice contributing brilliance to bold combinations. #VitaleBarberisCanonico #AprilWearsYellow

April wears yellow. Yellow is the sun returning, the flowers blossoming, light mornings with a new air. The colour that embodies the very idea of a reawakening: warm, bright, optimistic. Yellow accompanies April like an invitation to raise one’s eyes. #VitaleBarberisCanonico #AprilWearsYellow

The collaboration between Vitale Barberis Canonico and @henrypooleco – the original founder of Savile Row - finds its origins in an archival discovery, where the threads of Savile Row and an imperial wardrobe unexpectedly intertwine. “During the period between 1846 and 1847, Charles-Louis Bonaparte lived in London. From his dwelling in King Street he frequently went out hunting or to the theatre, but also to dedicate himself to the mondaine life, therefore to Savile Row, where the best tailors and the best fabrics could be found. As ‘Prince Bonaparte’ he was registered in the sample book of the tailor who generally bespoke his garments, a ledger conserved in the Vitale Barberis Canonico archives.” Click on the link in bio to discover “Napoleon III’s Angola and Velvet” Fabric Tale. #VitaleBarberisCanonico #FabricTales

Preserved in the Vitale Barberis Canonico's Archives, a 1951 sample book documents the elegance of Parisian high society at the races. “Horses, racetracks and fashion: one of the most successful combinations. The French and international elite met here, where long skirts well below the knee, tight-waisted blouses and jackets, wide-brimmed sunhats and large-patterned fabrics spoke the new language of feminine elegance.” Click on the link in bio to discover “Parisian Society: Between Concours and Course - second part” Fabric Tale #VitaleBarberisCanonico #FabricTales
