Companies often ask us, "Why should I think international when I'm still growing in U.S. markets?" Before you decide going global isn't for you, consider the following: 📈 How can you prepare for future growth? 🔍 Where can you find the best product-market fit? ⚖️ How can you minimize risk and optimize your supply chain? Believe it or not, expanding overseas can help you address all three questions. Swipe to debunk some common myths about going global. 👉

We could tell you about 'leveraging synergies' and 'optimizing global touchpoints,' but let’s be real — who talks like that? Instead, here’s the no-nonsense version of what we do at WTC Utah. ✨

The 2026 Crossroads of the World International Trade Summit has wrapped, but the conversations — and the work behind them — continue. Co-hosted with @zionsbank , this year’s summit brought together business leaders, diplomats, policymakers, and global experts for two days of conversations on trade, tariffs, AI, economic uncertainty, and the forces shaping international business today. From early mornings to late nights, teams from WTC Utah and Zions Bank put in the work to make every detail count — supporting speakers and guests, coordinating logistics, capturing content, and helping create a meaningful experience for attendees. But the conversation doesn’t end when the stage lights go down. Stay tuned as we share highlights, insights, and moments from the summit.

Our 2026 Crossroads of the World International Trade Summit, hosted with @zionsbank has officially wrapped — but the conversations from the past two days are still echoing. From trade and geopolitics to innovation and leadership, this year’s summit brought together business leaders, policymakers, and global experts to discuss what’s next for Utah and the international economy. One standout discussion featured Robert Lighthizer, Jesús Seade, and Mary Ng — leaders who helped shape and implement USMCA — sharing perspectives on North American competitiveness and the future of global trade. We also heard from Peter Zeihan (@zeihanongeopolitics ), Walter Russell Mead, and Bret Stephens on the geopolitical and economic forces reshaping the world today. Additional highlights included insights from Robert Spendlove and Harris Simmons on Utah’s growing global competitiveness. Reed Hastings, co-founder and chairman of @netflix , spoke about innovation and embracing uncertainty in business, while global brand strategist Gordon Bowen shared what makes brands iconic and why authentic audience connection matters. One line from Bowen captured the spirit of the summit: “I believe anything is possible for this state because of the people in it and the geography of it.” We’re grateful to Zions Bank for helping grow the Crossroads Trade Summit into a platform for global dialogue, business connection, and big ideas shaping Utah’s future.

As the world looks for stability, Utah continues to stand out — not just because of our economy, but because of our people. At the Crossroads of the World Summit hosted by Zions Bank and World Trade Center Utah, we talked about what sets Utah apart in a time of uncertainty. As America prepares to celebrate 250 years, Utah has an opportunity to show what freedom, responsibility, generosity, and steady work can build.

At the beginning of April, WTC Utah attended the One Kind Act a Day 2026 Kindness Summit.     It was a day full of encouragement, inspiration, and empowerment. We heard from many wonderful guest speakers, including co-chair on our board of directors, Natalie Gochnour. The Kindness Summit was an important reminder about integrating empathy and understanding into the workplace.      Many businesses can be successful. Most important are the legacies they leave behind💙❤️

Utah’s trade mission to Switzerland and Germany has wrapped — and the takeaway is clear: strong economies are built through deliberate action and strong connection. From hands-on talent pipelines at ETH Zürich and real-world innovation at Switzerland Innovation Park, we saw how education and industry align to drive impact. We also saw how global partnerships power Utah at home — with @doppelmayr.usa and @garaventa.official supporting our ski industry and @stadler_rail investing in local jobs and transit. In Germany, connections at @hannover_messe and continued collaboration with @saarland_de are helping to position Utah in emerging sectors such as AI, quantum, and aerospace. Global relationships and learning. Local impact. That’s how Utah continues to grow. #Utah #Switzerland #Germany #Trade #Innovation

When trade policy takes center stage, Utah is in the room. At a recent House Ways and Means hearing, Congressman Blake Moore recognized WTC Utah as a trusted voice on tariffs and trade — a moment that reflects Utah’s growing role globally. With the USMCA review ahead, we’re bringing the conversation home at our Crossroads of the World Summit. Utah businesses: this is one to watch.
