I will be playing a special set of “retired” songs, oldies I haven’t played in a year, since I started the project, or EVER. And who knows if I’ll ever play them again… Sharing the stage with me are the magical, stupendous @frigginhorsegirl , the insane, undead wrestler Brock “The Brick” Bronson, and harsh, fearsome noise from @wraithworker and their collection of circuit-bent toy instruments. Reminiscing of touring with beloved Puppet Disco collaborator @hexcassette in October! I found something big chewing on the garden stairs… The Insurmountable Termite Queen! Latex, foam, fabric, wood, paint, other materials I’m forgetting. She is an upcycled animatronic base, complete with expressive movement and sound! Plus, a pocket in which to hide Her eggs! The Queen already had the privilege of performing alongside “Horse Girl” at the Trinidad Lounge early last month, and will be making Her next appearance at an upcoming show or two… stay tuned! There are precious few process photos, but you can at least see how the original toy was stripped and then integrated into a weighted “endoskeleton” base on which the Queen could be sculpted. ALL HAIL THE QUEEN MAY SHE DESTROY THE FOUNDATION OF EVERY STRUCTURE ALSO- I’m going to be sharing the puppets and animatronics I’ve been working on these last couple years FINALLY, on @denverpuppetdisco . It feels really great to finally be able to start sharing this aspect of my craft that I’ve been keeping private for so long as I was learning. EUROTRIP 2024 dump post amazing to connect w/ my roots and see my family in their natural habitat (Peer, Belgium- birthplace of my dad). understanding more than ever why they do not come to our denvoid habitat very often. Basically everyone on this side of my family was baptized in that first church. Everything is alive here, an unusually wet year has left all the plants wild and overgrown and perfect. Some of these are from Peer, the last 2 of these are from Bokrijk (nearby historical area now populated by mostly goats), some of these are from Rome, some of these are from Naples. Much love to the family 💐

Digital Stain Editing 3/? I can’t seem to dig up the image right now, but this is a sidewalk stain @a_fallen_temple photographed and sent to me. Really, this piece kicked off the series, but I wanted to wait to post until closer to it’s printed debut⬇️ This piece is a part of @_avaricemusic new zine, LEXICAL, which you’ll be able to find at the D3 art show this coming Sunday!
