The WP spring choir concert, entitled “The Dance of Love,” celebrates the partnership of music and dance. This collaborative performance between WP Choirs and various local dance groups includes Greek folk dancing, Irish solo dancing, Tango and Indian Classical dance. Music is so often inspired by dance rhythms and form, and the tradition of live music and dancing has been central to societies and cultural exchanges throughout the ages. For this performance, WP Choirs explores a diverse offering of music, from Baroque dances and 19th-century waltzes to Indian ragas and Irish choral jigs. Don’t miss what is sure to be a cultural celebration for the senses!
