From 3โ7 April, artists and storytellers walked the Lycian Way in Turkey โ carrying silks in solidarity with communities along the Lebanon Mountain Trail.
Across landscapes and borders, we return to five questions first asked by Bertrand Russell and revisited by @rutgerbregman :
Who are we?
Where did we come from?
Where are we going?
How should we live?
What is sacred?
The path is made by walking.

Our thoughts are with everyone in Lebanon. Weโre walking in solidarity.
Since 3 April, Walk with Lebanon: Mountains of Hope โ a collaboration between @lebanontrail and @kinetikapeople โ has been unfolding in real time, not along a single trail, but across cities, coastlines and countryside worldwide.
From Batroun and Byblos to London, Melbourne to Munich, Paris to Catalonia โ people are walking. Alone and in groups. Quietly and collectively. Carrying stories from the Lebanon Mountain Trail into their own landscapes.
Each day follows the route we would have taken in Lebanon, with a silk story shared from one of the 27 communities along the trail. These stories are being read, reflected on, and carried forward step by step, across different places.
Wherever you are, you can still join us.
Choose a story. Carry it with you.
Walk alongside Lebanon.

The World Trails Network mourns the loss of Seo Myung-sook, Honorary Patron and Founder of the WTN and Founder of the Jeju Olle Foundation. A visionary leader, she believed in the power of trails to unite, heal, and bring peace to the world. May her passion and legacy continue to inspire the global trails community for years to come. She will be deeply missed.
Today we begin.
One trail. 27 communities. 27 silks.
Mountains of Hope is a collaboration between @lebanontrail and @kinetikapeople , shaped with communities along the 450km + 150km Lebanon Mountain Trail. Through walking, conversation and making, stories of place, memory and resilience have been carried into 27 hand-painted silks.
Each silk reflects a different section of the trail โ and was meant to be returned to its community this April.
While we canโt walk the LMTA Thru-Hike in Lebanon this month, the journey continues differently.
From 3 April โ 3 May, people around the world are walking in their own places, in solidarity.
All 27 silk stories are now available to read.
Walk wherever you are.
Choose a story. Carry it with you.
Step by step, alongside Lebanon.
