And relax. In beautiful #nairn looking over the mountains of the Black Isle. Flying visit to see my Mum, Susie Alexander. She has meticulously created her response to the 5 questions #mountainsofhope @rutgerbregman for you @omarsakr7 @lebanontrail and proudly sent news of our #globalsolidarity walks to all her friends. This is powerful stuff. She is 90. ‘The loveliness is everywhere, even in the most hostile environment where there is no place for hope and only death invites the heart. It arises incomprehensible in its own reality and what we must learn is how to receive it into our own’ Kenneth White.

What an incredible event - Foxy’s Rave. A brilliant memorial to #johnfox #welfarestateinternational thanks a million Sue Gill @soundinterventn @hannahcompanyfox @peterjamesmoser and everyone for an immensely powerful reminder of who we are and why we are here. Loved every moment. I am part of this tribe and it informs my life since Welfare State Summer School in 1985. 🚩🚩💚

Good evening from The Lake District as we close our month of @lebanontrail #globalsolidarity walks #mountainsofhope In March @hammondozlem @atelierlesuis and I were training and deliberating with @omarsakr7 on how to respond to the unfolding situation and we came up with Plan B. For this final weekend I have been carrying the silk for section 19. Barouk to Maaser El Shouf as @takla.khoueiry writes, it weaves through traditional villages where social gatherings take place around shared rituals, food and music reinforcing bonds between people and place. Sharing these stories while walking with many people has become a daily ritual for me during this last month, one which has been truly inspiring and hopeful in the face of adversity. Thanks everyone for joining. We will keep walking until we can meet together in Lebanon united and with all 27 silks. Thanks @kinetikapeople @walklistencreate @worldtrailsnetwork and each of you hikers and artists out there.🥾🌸💚🚩🇱🇧⛰️

What is Sacred? On Tuesday our final solidarity walk @lebanontrail along The Carian Way took us to the traditional market town of Bayir where we met Ismail who proudly told us that this Plain tree that stands strong at the foot of the mountain is 2,500 years old. We carried the silk for section 18. @takla.khoueiry writes ‘It runs from Ain Zhaite to Batouk through the heart of the shouf biosphere reserve. It is a living landscape where people continue to practice traditional crafts and make seasonal foods in harmony with nature’ Here we met Gülben and Aysen and the community who work hard to keep parallel traditions alive. What is sacred? ‘Our land, the soil that feeds us, the water that keeps us alive’ Thank you @hammondozlem and @rs_demirel for guiding us, nurturing our curiosity and awakening our passion for these #mountainsofhope here in #türkiye @kinetikapeople invites you to walk with #lebanon this weekend as we conclude a month of #globalsolidarity Link in bio.

Dear friends, today we walked along the shores of the river ‘de IJssel’ near Deventer in the Netherlands. No mountains here but the water comes from far. The rivers starts as the Rhine in the mountains of Switserland and touches Liechtenstein, Austria, Germany, France and finaly enters the Netherlands where it splits in de Rijn and de IJssel. Water doesn’t care about borders, it follows the landscape. We read out loud the story of section 20, from Maaser El Shouf to Niha and were thinking in solidarity with you, friends in Lebanon. It was a beaufull day
