Works in Progress comes back to New York City next week and this time it in a timeless capsule of urban American charm - a New York City apartment somewhere in Bedstuy; the address of which can be found by DMing this page. Very excited to have Prairie Princess host us at her apartment and also rejoin the WIP stage. Excited too to be his to of some U.K. powerhouses - two of the geniuses behind @carolinetheband (who play @knockdowncenter the night before) and WIP regular @tyler_cryde . The man behind some of our favourite rock records @jakesinclairnyc will be sharing a rare set of his own music and we will be joined by some of the great exciting acts bubbling away in this ceaseless metropolis @nccatalan@wulfincore & @horsecrazyhorsecrazy

Skydaddy’s Works in Progress events celebrate creations’ middles—those rough-edged experiments, unfinished concepts, and creative sparks that are still finding their shape. This is a space Rachid (@mrskydaddy ) brings artists come together to share what they’re building before it’s fully formed. It is an open studio wherein lies a living sketchbook: raw, honest, unpolished, and buzzing with possibility. The event has seen the likes of BCNR, Geese, Cameron Winter, Katy J Pearson, English Teacher, Caroline, Rozi Plain and many more.
Skydaddy will be taking over To The Moon at Outer Town 2026, and has invited the brilliant @radio_anorak , Jenny Kennedy (@tyler_cryde & band), Agu Ujma and @iamheka
The stage will feature performances from these artists, with intermittent Works in Progress sessions throughout the day.

A few scenes from Works in Progress events in 2025. This year we held events in London, Bristol, New York City and Glastonbury Festival.
What started off as a desire for a gig where I could share my unfinished ideas with someone other than my unwilling neighbours has turned into something very special for me - a regular dose of inspiration from the incredibly talented songwriters that surround us. Thank you to everyone who has attended and shared their ideas. This is no easy task. I look forward to holding more of these in 2026. Announcements coming soon 🐯
