🏃🏼 Run for Rooted 🏃🏽‍♀️‍➡️ We've got a fun day planned for you Saturday, May 30th. We are collaborating with Rooted on a 5K Fun Run. The run starts at 11am and winds around the neighborhood. It's $35 per person who runs (or walks!), which includes: 🏃🏼 The run 🍺 A free beer or soda when you get back to WDBC 🧢 A free hat 👜 A free tote bag 🌱 A seed packet from Rooted 🙏🏻 All proceed benefit Rooted What's Rooted and what do they do? Join us for PINTS WITH PURPOSE as we raise a pint to raise awareness about local nonprofit Waunakee Food For Kidz! Waunakee Food For Kidz has been dedicated to fighting food insecurity right here in Dane County for two decades. Through the power of community, nearly 1,000 volunteers gather each year for a large-scale meal packing event, turning compassion into action. To date, they have provided 4,692,778 nutritious, ready-to-eat meals to families in need. Each meal is thoughtfully crafted with a balanced blend of protein, rice, vegetables, and seasonings to support health and well-being. This year, Food for Kidz is on the verge is a major milestone: 5 million meals served to families who need them most. Every beer sold at the event will do more than quench your thirst—it will make an impact! For this event, $.50 from each beer purchased will be donated by Working Draft to Food For Kidz. You can also add an extra $1 donation per pint to the cause! In addition to that, Sponsor Zach Short of Automation Arts will be kicking off our fundraising with a generous donation of $500! Hear readings from the winners of the AbSciCon Creative Science Writing Showcase, featuring imaginative and engaging takes on astrobiology. Then, stick around for the “Up-Goer 5” challenge, where researchers attempt to explain their astrobiology work using only the 1,000 most common English words! Kicking off #americancraftbeerweek with a #newbeer - Hello, My Name Is: Amarillo 💛 This single hop IPA exclusively features Amarillo hops in all their grapefruit y-citrus and floral glory. And the can art is looking on-point, too! Did you know each can tells a story about the beer? Our WD badge is front-and-center on the isthmus, which is representative of our love of Madison and our location in the heart of downtown. The green color nods to it being a hoppy style. And finally the “One Hop” wingding in the background points to this being part of our single hop series. Stay tuned as we highlight more features of our can design with upcoming releases!
