I can tell it’s been a busy run since March based on the plethora of images in the camera roll, sends to my more technically savvy cohorts to confirm on practically every piece of gear being requested from the field. Just had me a lovely man date at Calder Gardens with the most sweetest of gentlemen, James Doolittle, Producer of Beautiful Projects, and fellow goofball extraordinaire.

Festival season has been an absolute whirlwind. What is time when surrounded by an abundance of driven, caring creatives - AND SO MANY #PHILLY FOLK! First time / last time at Sundance, Park City Edition, with the team behind Sam Green’s latest doc THE OLDEST PERSON IN THE WORLD, where my brothers in “dairy deep dives” Nicholas Bruckman and Yoni Brook also chatted our series, THE PRICE OF MILK. Then off to Wellsboro to hang in the backyard of our amazing protagonists Joe and Brenda Cochran at the wonderfully intimate Wellsboro Film Festival as its opening night selection. Off to Austin in spirit, for an OLDEST encore, along with Philly representing through the amazing work by Studio Tshay on their animated short - TELL ME WHEN YOU GET HOME- all the kudos and feels for Tshay and producers Syd, Jackie and Patrice! But most proud of our longtime editor John Tarquinio, who took a chance following me over to All Ages nearly a decade ago, and has steadfastly edited the hell out of everything from PHILLY D.A. to PATRICE: THE MOVIE. His latest feature credit - THE RISE OF THE RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS: OUR BROTHER HILLEL - directed by Ben Feldman and produced by Marc D’Agostino, bows this weekend at SxSW before hitting Netflix later this month, featuring some glorious animations from our own Harvey Benschoter (with added support from Ryan McCann). Bask in the groove, JT. Always grateful for your Soprano’s memes and glorious craft.

Hearts on fire, forever swooning, the person who always helps me be the best version of myself thanks to her grace, effortless soul, big ole heart and the richest of kisses. @lindsay_foret you make me oh so complete, and watching everything you accomplish for your ladies is the best front row a boy could hope for. Can’t wait for what lies ahead as we enter the homestretch on making you Mrs. Doolinds. June can’t come soon enough, my love. That and Tuesday.

MEMORY HOLE: Reminding my pizza slingers that they in fact come from a long line of pizza - scratch - #apizza slingers, and this was the benchmark for House Crescenzi, Gino of East Haven. Truly the highlight of any cross-country roadtrip. The pizza was amazing - or at least better than what they served, if anything in North Dakota. The actual restaurant was wonderfully of the era; dim overheads, booths (maybe?) and the slightest bit of purposeful haze, a melange of light cigarette smoke and the burning of crust. He could have been played by Danny Aiello in a movie. Maybe he was.
