These past months were a crazy experience. I went through extreme highs and lows, but all of it was worth it. I still can’t believe that I went from learning the UAAP S86 choreo one random day, to being a part of it the next season.
To our head coach
@chipswithdips , thank you for believing in me even if I wasn’t fully confident with myself; even giving me a center part in a segment that was way out of my comfort zone. It gave me a bigger opportunity and a stronger push to grow. This unforgettable experience was all thanks to you who gave us a piece that challenged us and tested our capabilities as a dancer alongside our other coaches. We, the newbies, had to fight to prove that we were worth your time and that we could fill in the spots of our previous seniors; I hope you felt that fighting spirit from us. I’ll continue to work hard not just for my growth, but to bring home the crown next time.
To my seniors, I will always be thankful for all of the hard work you put into making sure we could perform the piece in a way we’d never regret. As a sophomore, it was a bit awkward as I was in the middle of the freshmen newbies and you guys who (some) were sophomores as well but are still my seniors in Prime. However, I quickly became comfortable after I became a lot closer with Ken. (Special mention ang compli oh!) Thank you for motivating us every step of the way, you are all perfect examples of seniors who could lead the future of the team and bring us to success.
To my co-newbies, I am so proud of each and every one of you. We were there for each other everytime the pressure hit harder than usual, and you gave me a sense of comfort with one simple “kain?” after training. I learned to appreciate the small things because of you. I won’t make this long because you already know the rest, just know that you have a very special place in my heart. I’ve struggled for so long to find a circle I could call my own, one I could call family. I’m glad those people were you.
We may not have won gold, but this team made it feel like we won in every other way. 🫂💛
