LONG POST!!! 🏠🏠🏠 Before the year ends, I wanted to immortalize this milestone. I started this journey during the pandemic when I was so lost and anxious of what it means to have a dance career moving forward. I didn’t have any clues on how to build a house or whatsoever so I did my own research, own due diligence, at my own pace, etc. It became really challenging at some point since right after covid I was in and out of the country doing dance jobs again (yay). Unfortunately my old contractor didn’t deliver and the project got delayed for almost a year. I really thought I would never see the end of it but good thing I have good friends and I really wanted it to become a reality. Thank you so much to Arch @jairdrgz and @spacesbyibis for finishing the house! Never thought I’d see the light at the end of the tunnel if it weren’t for you! Thanks to my brother, Arch @arkitek_anjo of @acodesph (s/o also to Dylann) for designing this from the get go and helping with the peripherals! Ang daming changes since our first draft pero worth it! Shoutouts to @madhousedesignstudio for designing my interior and to Arch Yeye (and Anne!) for designing and finishing my cabs, Thadine Signage Fabrication Services for the backdrop! Of course, to the loml @larabellpepper , who calmed me and stuck with me throughout the process. Hindi na tayo magaayos ng maraming costume orders sa masikip na condo haha! Growing up me and my family didn’t own a place. We always rented and lived the nomad life hopping from one rental home to another (real friends know I used to change addresses every couple of years haha) so it just feels surreal that I finally got us something we can finally call ours. Mama, may bahay na tayo hehehe. This place represents all my hard work through doing the one thing I am most passionate about - dance. On to the next one, I guess? P.S. THREE TIME WORLD CHAMPION🥇🥇🥇 We first started this journey last year. Our first training was supposed to be on October 4th, 2023. I was woken up by the most devastating news that my prodigy, @heartuy88.official , leader of VPeepz, who was supposed to be part of our Megacrew this year, was caught in a house fire. I was crushed into pieces. My life had no direction. I didn’t know how to get back up. I didn’t want to go through life anymore. The team eventually decided to continue the journey. This is what she would’ve wanted anyway. Our first training was really just the team mourning. Day by day we just held onto each other. We went all in. 5 divisions. 83 individuals. #AllHeart. The journey wasn’t easy to say the least. All of my members were burnt out one by one, finances were really challenged, personal lives, friends and families were second priority for months. However, the grit of this team, now with a deeper purpose, kept us together. I am immensely proud of each and every one of you. During the times when you felt it was time to quit, you got back and powered through. To my HHI 2024 Megacrew team, as I’ve told you before, I just wanted to see you break the ceiling of your potential. You already did it and for that I am proud. To be honest I was super pressured to coach this team at first because the potential on paper is crazy, and it manifested on stage. You were honed for this moment since you started in this team. You guys are destined to be world champs. To my boys, The Peepz. Thank you for this brotherhood. Thanks for putting a smile to my face when things got rough. I love you boys. To our VPeepz kids, Lil Peepz and Varsi, you fought long and hard. We are always here for you and super proud of what you have achieved. Chins up, take a bow. For months, I've been researching about this culture, learning its movement, appreciating its music (Indulging myself in its music everyday in my car haha!).
