@northern_rimfire_series season opener did not disappoint! It was a dynamic course of fire with great challenges to keep us on our toes.
The wind at this venue is always a huge factor and this time was no exception. With some VERY tricky wind switched, I was aboard the struggle bus for a bunch of stages but on the bright side I think I may have got some pretty interesting footage for a future video!
Ended 7th out of 75 shooters, I wasn’t at all disappointed with how I shot considering its early season and Mother Nature was after me!
Surprise, another stage from the IPRF Rimfire World Championships!! Thanks so much to @joe.h_shooting who sent me this video he took of my run on stage 6 at the event. I remember watching quite a few shooters time out on this stage, so I made sure to not waste any time once the buzzer rang.

My run on Stage 20 at the @precisionriflefederation IPRF Rimfire World Championships. This was my last stage of the match after a hard fought effort. I didn’t know it at the time, but after this I had secured 3rd open individual placement, and 2nd open team placement with my fellow 🇨🇦 teammates @bradogrady@cappo.prs@jbotha_@mabae@kolan.gilmour

We’re back at it! First match we’ve travelled for since nationals last September, Pretty insane to think it’s been nearly six months! Drive down to sheepdog warrior and the CoF by Mike didn’t disappoint.
High gusty winds made it pretty interesting and fun all the way through, it definitely humbled me for a couple stages too 😂 Even so I managed to place 2nd overall, and have an absolute blast doing it. @kolan.gilmour and I had an epic battle on the timed stage, we ended both clean with a 0.68 second time gap ⏱️ (try not to take a nap next time buddy)!
Cherry on top was the full Canadian 🇨🇦 podium alongside @philprs in first🥇 and @kolan.gilmour in third 🥉

My run on Stage 16 at the @precisionriflefederation IPRF Rimfire World Championships. I remember I struggled a bit with target acquisition and you can tell in the video as I take time finding them. A red dot above my scope helps in these situations, although I don’t always run it.

Here is my run on Stage 11 at the @precisionriflefederation IPRF PR22 Rimfire World Championships. It was my first stage on day 4 and I couldn’t believe my silly mistake that caused me to miss the first two shots (I forgot to hold over in my reticle). A very uncommon mistake for me, that really shook my confidence for a while. My last 6 shots are taken within 27 seconds, my heart was racing!
