Dear Yaa Serwaa, It’s been a minute since I last critiqued anything creative. Unfortunately these days I can’t always “say it as it is” 😂. But last night? You left me no choice but to gush. Straight off the cuff: you ate everything up and left no crumbs. For me to step out on a Sunday, it has to be for something special. And I’m glad it was. I came in with mixed feelings: scared, anxious, excited. See, you hadn’t done this in a while, and I hadn’t heard you in years. But wow! From stage presence to delivery, you owned that stage. It was like you never left. For a moment, I saw that tiny girl from A Star Is Born holding her own. Over Thirty solid minutes without loosing a sweat? You held us, took us on a ride, understood the assignment, and delivered excellently. Forgive me for speaking to you as an artist when you were ministering. But that’s how I see you first. Anyways, thank you for a wonderful evening. I felt church, I was inspired, and I know people left blessed. And oh, thank you for starting on the dot. Another feather in your cap.
